flexible configuration

LAGUN’s technological configuration is based on the same structural parts (carriage, head and column), allowing the modular configuration of the milling machines from all our families of machines (BM/BL – CM/CL – MM/ML – TM/TL).

The shared components are combined based on the specific needs of the customer, thus making different architectures of machines, beds and tables.

Thus we obtain milling machines with a fixed bed, moving column and transverse moving column.

the system

The carriage-ram system is designed to obtain the best dynamic behaviour in feed and acceleration, maintaining excellent stability in its runs and in time.

Ram guided by two parallel lateral guide tracks with blocked sliders and optimum behaviour of the assembly as a block.
Design studied and calculated by LAGUN, exceeding the reliability factor required by the manufacturer of the sliders for correct operation.

Rigid carriage that is also light for vertical displacements. Designed to have the ram as close as possible to the column and maintain a robust column-carriage-ram assembly.

Fitting the lateral guides has given us the possibility of activating the ram drop correction system mechanically using custom-ground wedges (the so-called banana effect).
These wedges are placed between the guide and the ram to ensure optimum behaviour for ram accuracy in transverse movements.

We have blocked the two guides and the sliders, increasing the rigidity and reducing the risk of them moving with brusque machining, collisions, etc.

Lateral ram guides. We have avoided putting a guide under the ram, to prevent possible collisions with the part. A collision can mark the guide and will break the slider, scratch the machined surface, etc.
